SAT/ACT Info

Remember that as Sophomores and Juniors you should be signing up to take the PSAT - which is given in October at our school every year.  Look for sign-ups in the career center begining September 15th.

Juniors should be registering to take either the SAT or the ACT your Junior year.  We like to suggest that you wait until the end of your Junior year so you gain as much knowledge as possible.

As Seniors you can take the test through the December test date.  Most Colleges and Universities will not accept any scores after the December test date (for Seniors).

PSAT OCTOBER 19, 2016

October 19th, 2016 we will be offering the PSAT/NMSQT, a test of the skills and knowledge essential for college and career that students are learning in class.  The PSAT/NMSQT is an important step in your child’s journey to college.  The test offers students the opportunity to connect with colleges and universities, enter scholarship competitions, get ready for the SAT and college, sharpen their skills with free practice on Kahn Academy, and learn what AP classes might make the most of their strengths.  It’s a wonderful chance for our sophomores and juniors to be recognized and rewarded for the skills and knowledge they’ve learned.

September 26th through October 11th, students can sign up in the counseling office

with Mrs. White, Ms. Jacoby or Mrs. Beebe.

The cost of the test is $20 payable by cash or check (made out to GSHS).

The test will take place on October 19th at GSHS in the Library at 8:50 a.m.
